As the evening draws in our guests can sit back to admire some of the best views of New Zealand’s night sky.

You can listen to the native birds and might even have the pleasure of seeing some deer wondering by.

With all of the home comforts in luxuries you would expect from a luxury Lodge, the Night Sky Cottage also comes with a fully equipped kitchen, lounge area, outdoor veranda with a barbeque, and a private picnic area in a native bush clearing. At the end of a second boardwalk guests will find another clearing with a private deck offering sublime views of Mount Ruapehu.
In the indulgent bathroom there are two side-by-side pedestal vanities as well as a large walk-in shower and two side-by-side freestanding baths with bush views, along with bath salts, oils and candles await guests to relax and unwind.

Committed to creating a sustainable experience for guests’ the new lodge has adopted a zero waste policy; it's unlikely you will find a single use plastic item in the cottage as any plastic used is fully recyclable or reusable. The cottage even collects and processes its own water.
As the new Night Sky Cottage is located on the edge of Tongariro National Park guests will have the opportunity to undertake a wide range of activities weather hiking, cycling, quad biking, river rafting, skiing or taking a spectacular scenic helicopter flight over the National Park.
